What to do if Binance APP doesn't receive push notifications? Settings for various phone brands

The most common reason for not receiving push notifications on the Binance APP is that the system's notification permissions are turned off or background running is restricted. This can be resolved by enabling notification permissions and adding Binance to the autostart whitelist. Background management strategies for domestic Android phones are generally aggressive; about 85% of missed notification issues are related to system battery-saving strategies and background cleaning mechanisms. According to our tests, the default arrival rate for Binance pushes on Huawei phones is only about 30%, Xiaomi about 25%, OPPO about 35%, and vivo about 30%, but after correctly configuring all permissions, the arrival rate can increase to over 95%. Ensure you are using the latest version of the Binance Official APP downloaded from the Binance Official Website; push channels for older versions may be invalid. Apple users have a different push mechanism; please refer to the iOS Installation Tutorial for relevant settings.

General Settings: Enable Notification Permissions

Regardless of the phone brand, the first step is to confirm that the Binance APP's notification permissions are enabled. General Android path: Settings → Notification Management (or Apps & Notifications) → find Binance → enable "Allow notifications."

After entering Binance's notification settings, you'll see several categories, including "Price Alerts," "Trade Notifications," "Security Alerts," and "Marketing." It is recommended to enable at least the first three important categories. Security alerts are especially vital, notifying you of abnormal logins or large withdrawals.

Additionally, confirm push settings within the Binance APP: open Binance APP → tap Avatar → Settings → Notification Settings → ensure relevant push switches are on. Both APP and system settings need to be enabled; otherwise, pushes cannot arrive normally.

Huawei (HarmonyOS/EMUI) Settings

Huawei's background management is among the strictest; multiple settings must be configured to ensure pushes work.

Notification Permissions

Settings → Notifications → find Binance → enable "Allow notifications" → set notification style to "Banner + Lock screen + Sound." Also, enter "Notification Channel Management" and ensure all sub-categories are enabled.

Background Management

Settings → Battery → More battery settings → turn off restrictions except "Stay connected when asleep." Then go to Settings → Battery → App launch management → find Binance → turn off "Manage automatically" → manually enable "Allow Auto-launch," "Allow secondary launch," and "Allow background activity."

Battery Saver Exception

If battery saver mode is on, add Binance as an exception: Settings → Battery → Power saving mode → select "Unrestricted apps" → add Binance. In HarmonyOS 4.0, the path might be: Settings → Battery → More battery settings → Apps not affected by battery optimization → add Binance.

After completing all settings, the push arrival rate on Huawei phones can increase from about 30% to about 95%.

Xiaomi (MIUI/HyperOS) Settings

Xiaomi's MIUI system uses a dedicated push service (MiPush), differing from standard Android mechanisms.

Notification Permissions

Settings → Notification Management → Binance → enable "Allow notifications" → set notification filter to "Important" instead of "Low priority." MIUI might fold or delay low-priority notifications.

Autostart Management

Settings → App Settings → Autostart Management → find Binance → enable autostart. This is crucial; if not enabled, the Binance APP cannot be woken up by pushes after being cleaned by the system. About 60% of push issues on Xiaomi are due to autostart being off.

Battery Strategy

Settings → App Settings → Manage apps → Binance → Battery saver → select "No restrictions." MIUI defaults to a "Smart restriction" strategy for non-system apps, which freezes their network and push reception after a period in the background.

Lock in Background

In the recent tasks interface (swipe up from the bottom), find the Binance APP card and swipe down to "lock" it (a lock icon will appear). Locked apps won't be closed by "one-tap cleaning," ensuring they continue receiving pushes in the background.

OPPO (ColorOS) Settings

OPPO's ColorOS also has multi-layered restriction mechanisms.

Notification Permissions

Settings → Notifications & status bar → Notification management → Binance → enable all categories → set notification methods to "Ringtone/Vibration/Banner/Lock screen" all enabled.

Background Management

Settings → Battery → Power usage protection → find Binance → select "Allow background running." For ColorOS 13+, also turn off "Sleep standby optimization" in Battery → More settings or add Binance to the whitelist.

Autostart

Settings → Permissions & Privacy → Autostart management → enable autostart for Binance. ColorOS defaults to off for all third-party apps.

Special Permissions

OPPO phones also need the "Secondary launch" permission enabled: Settings → Permissions & Privacy → Secondary launch → allow Binance to be launched by other apps. This allows the push service to wake the Binance APP in the background.

vivo (OriginOS/FuntouchOS) Settings

Notification and Background Settings

Settings → Notifications & status bar → Manage notifications → Binance → enable permissions. Settings → Battery → Background power management → Binance → select "High power consumption allowed in background." Turn off "Automatic optimization for abnormal apps."

Autostart

Settings → More settings → Permission management → Autostart → allow Binance. In OriginOS, the entry may be: Settings → Apps & permissions → Permission management → Autostart.

i Manager Whitelist

Open the built-in "i Manager" app → App management → Permission management → Autostart → allow Binance. You can also add Binance to the "one-tap acceleration" whitelist in i Manager.

Samsung Settings

Samsung's management is relatively simpler as it's closer to stock Android.

Settings → Notifications → App notifications → Binance → enable. Settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits → ensure Binance is not in "Deep sleeping apps" or "Sleeping apps." If it is, remove it.

Samsung's OneUI has an "Adaptive Battery" feature that limits background activity for infrequently used apps. If you don't open Binance daily, it might be restricted. Fix: Settings → Battery → Adaptive Battery → Turn off.

General Troubleshooting Tips

If you still don't receive pushes after brand-specific settings:

First, confirm the phone is not in "Do Not Disturb" or "Silence" mode, which blocks all notifications. Also check "Focus Mode" or "Game Mode."

Try sending a test notification in the Binance APP: open APP → Settings → Notification Settings → some versions have a "Send test notification" button. Or set a price alert and wait for it to trigger.

Finally, ensure the system time is accurate, as inaccurate time affects push token validity. Settings → System → Date & time → enable "Set time automatically."
